Play Madden NFL FootballAn Overview of Madden NFL Football Play Throughout The YearsI was surfing the Internet the other day and I came across a pretty interesting site that talked all about different video games and how they got their start. It just so happens that I read about the history of madden nfl football. As legend would have it, the whole Madden franchise started on a train ride when Trip Hawkins, who is a huge fan of sports games, and also one of the founders of Electronic Arts, met up with John Madden in 1986. The reason it was on a train was because Madden was apparently deathly afraid of flying, and at the time, technology just could not keep up with what Madden wanted for his game, but they stuck with it and in 1989 the first Madden game was introduced for the Apple II computer. However, the first installment of the game was very primitive, and did not feature all of the teams that were in the nfl at the time, and also only had a very select amount of plays that the player could run. This lack of features did not last for long though because in 1992 when the madden nfl football came out, it had the rest of the teams that were not featured in the early years, a number of new plays that could be run on both sides of the ball, new weather conditions were also added, including rain and snow, and best of all the game could now be played on Genesis and Super Nintendo. In 1994, the real game came to form when new teams were added, including 12 different all –team rosters, all of the teams and their logos were now present, and John Madden himself replaced Ron Barr in the booth as the announcer for the game. With 1995 came a setback though because new changes were made that should not have been made. After that, the game was reevaluated, and in 1997 the next generation of madden nfl football came out and paved the way for the game we love to play now. Ever since then, every year that madden comes out, it is one of the biggest days of the year for gamers, and it can be played on any platform gaming system that comes out now, including Nintendo Wii, Xbox and Xbox 360, and also Playstation 2 and 3. If anyone out there is looking for a sweet video game to play I would have to recommend this one. |
